PRODUCT TASTINGS: A BURGEONING TREND

Product tastings are part of a merchandising strategy that started in the last century with the birth of the supermarket (in the 1940s). This is a burgeoning trend in gourmet stores in countries such as the United Kingdom, Italy and France, where they are committed to direct contact with the product as the best way of publicising it and establishing an effective dialogue with customers.
